2014 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Vancouver: July 8-12

Special Olympics 2014The 2014 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games were held this past July 8 to July 12, 2014 in British Columbia. The Games take place once every four years. This is the first time the Games were in British Columbia in more than 20 years.

 

For the first time, the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games featured 11 sports, making the 2014 Games the largest Canadian Games ever.

 

The 2014 Games were hosted at one of Canada’s preeminent post-secondary institutions – the University of British Columbia – and also featured events at the University Golf Club in Vancouver and The Zone Bowling Centre in Richmond.
