To help mark Community Living Month, Suzanne Anton, Minister of Justice and MLA for Vancouver-Fraserview welcomed Michelle Stilwell, Minister of Social Development and Social Innovation, to her riding.
They paid a visit on October 15 to Jeffrey Dolynski and Brian Medeiros, two residents at Woodvan, a residential home in Vancouver managed by service provider Western Human Resources (WHR).
During the visit, Jeffrey and Brian talked with Ministers Anton and Stilwell about their enjoyment of hockey, music and daily activities and visits from family members.
Woodvan is home to four individuals in total, who are supported by dedicated staff who work hard to create a comfortable family environment.
WHR provides support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, including community inclusion, employment supports, residential services and nursing supports.
B.C. MLAs are helping recognize Community Living Month by celebrating the many contributions of people with developmental disabilities in their communities.
