My Story

By: Natalie Raven

My name is Natalie. I have a mom and dad, two sisters, and a brother.

I am a part of a group that I am happy to be a part of.

I am a member of a community group called Resilient Women in Business. Each month we meet together at a restaurant. We used to meet at Atrium 13 inside the Roadhouse Grille, and I wish we still met there. We had moved our meeting to the White Spot, however next month we are meeting at Leon’s Café.

We begin our meetings by introducing ourselves. Then we talk about our businesses, we network, and then we have breakfast.

I like being with the women and talking together.

One day I was to host the meeting at the common room. We used to meet at Atrium 13 inside the Roadhouse Grille, and I wish we still met there. I was quiet and shy and now I talk a bit more and it feels good. I feel comfortable and have made friends with some of the ladies there.

Thank you to UNITI’s CEO who made it happen and promoted me for it. I asked my Chapter Leader some questions when I did a report and made a proposal to renew my membership.

The Chapter Leader said that I am very polite and demonstrate bravery when talking about the City Ambassador position with the City of Surrey and when sharing my business tip which is why it is important to show up on time.

She also said that I always come well-prepared. She said she has seen me grow by standing up and speaking with courage. At each meeting everyone has an opportunity to speak about where they are at and what they are doing. I love being a member and I like to go out in the community.
