My name is Doris Rajan and I am doing a study on legal issues experienced by people with disabilities. This research is being carried out to complement the national Canadian Legal Problems Survey (CLPS). The CLPS is a self-completion and it was felt that we likely will miss hearing from populations that face extra barriers to justice, like people with disabilities. This is the reason why we are doing the phone interviews. I will also be speaking to people labelled with an intellectual, cognitive and/or psychosocial disability but will be doing that in-person later this year.
We are particularly interested in hearing from Indigenous, racialized, low income, immigrant, 2SLGBTQ+ and Francophone people with physical disabilities living in western Canada – of all ages and genders.
Please send me an email if you are interested in learning more and/or would like to participate in an anonymous, confidential phone interview. People who qualify will receive a $50 honorarium.
