Minister Stilwell brings to this position excellent experience having served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health for Seniors. She is a member of the Cabinet Committee on Secure Tomorrow and previously served as Government Caucus Chair.

A Paralympic gold medalist, Minister Stilwell has a strong record in building awareness for people with disabilities. A recent example is her April 2, 2014, statement to the Legislature to recognize World Autism Day. Prior to election, Minister Stilwell was a motivational speaker and community advocate for persons with disabilities and children with special needs. She has worked on the B.C. government’s 10 by 10 Challenge to increase employment of persons with disabilities. For more information on Minister Stilwell, please click here.

CLBC would also like to acknowledge MLA Don McRae for his many contributions during his time as Minister responsible for CLBC. We wish him well in his continuing role as MLA for Comox Valley and thank him for his ongoing support.
