On September 10, One Day Together in Topaz Park invites the South Vancouver Island community to come be part of an event where everyone feels included.
From 10 am – 3 pm, come share food, dance to live music and enjoy fun activities at at this seventh annual community event.
Throughout the day there will be music, children’s activities, bouncies, face painting, prizes, an arts & crafts marketplace, special guests, and a low-cost and delicious BBQ lunch. It’s fun, activities are free, and most of all the event brings the whole community together.
Each year, BeConnected Support Services collaborates with other South Island agencies to bring together One Day; this year, Community Living Victoria, Independent Living Housing Society, Integra Support Services, Kardel, Lifetime Networks and Recreation Integration joined BeConnected in organizing the event. CLBC, Used.ca, VanCity, GT Hiring Solutions, Garth Homer Society and Thrifty Foods are this year’s sponsors; CLBC has been sponsoring the event since its first year.
One Day marks the start of local Community Living Month celebrations, and because it is an outdoor event, it is held in September. As they do each year, CLBC staff will be at One Day to help make it a success. We hope to see you there – and we encourage you to bring your friends.
