Krystian Shaw is a self advocate living in Kamloops, BC, who started his own newsletter called Kamloops Self Advocate. Recently he presented at the InclusionBC 2014 Conference in Nanaimo, BC. Here he shares some words about his experience and a few video clips from the event.
The 2014 Inclusion BC conference in Nanaimo this year was inspiring. Many speakers spoke about the rights of individuals with special needs. The conference also stressed the many abilities we have. I’m starting up my own business, creating a newsletter dwelling on positive stories of how capable special needs people can be regardless of their disability. I spoke at the conference about my newsletter and how I got it started.
