On May 24 a few of my friends and I drove to Chilliwack and had a little gathering. We met up with friends and some of their family members. One of our friends organized little bottles of beer for us to drink, and we said cheers.
The following day we left Chilliwack, drove to the Rio Theatre, and then went back to my place. Next, we went to a store and did some shopping. After that, we met another friend at the Richmond Center Mall.
I had lunch in the food court and went to Abercrombie and Fitch and we did more shopping. Following that, we headed back to the Accent Inn in Richmond to take a nap in the hotel room where we were staying. Then we went to Steveston for dinner with everyone and I ate at the Catch Kitchen. We then drove to a friend’s house for a little visit and finally headed back to our hotel.
The next day we got up at 9:00 a.m. We waited until 11:00 a.m. to get the shuttle bus to the Vancouver International Airport. The check-in desk didn’t open until 12:40 p.m. so we had lunch at a restaurant at the airport and headed to the Iceland Air counter where we checked in for our flight. Soon after that, we went through security.
Finally, we left Vancouver and flew to Reykjavik. We flew with Iceland Air. The plane we were on was a Boeing 757-200. It took us 7 hours to get there. Then we changed flights for the final two-hour flight to Dublin. I highly recommend traveling with Iceland Air if you want to visit Ireland. This is because the people who work for them are so kind.
Once we arrived in Dublin a friend from our group went to the Sixt Car Rental desk to make sure we would have the car that we reserved. The rest of us waited for him and then we waited for the shuttle from the Airport to the Sixt Car Rental Shop.
Once we got there my friend and I went to section C 141 and got our rental vehicle which was a Dacia Jogger. We loaded our luggage but our friend who was driving didn’t know how to put the vehicle into reverse. So our friend had to push the car and it was very funny.
We then went to our first house in Ballydehob from the 27th to the 31st. Then we went to our second house from the 1st to the 2nd. Finally, we went to our third house from the 3rd to the 8th.
The places we saw were Belfast, and the Titanic Museum, and we took the Dublin Hop On and Hop Off bus tour. We also took two different taxis.
There are three favourite places I stayed in. The first was in Ballydehob, and the lady who owned the house also owned a clothing store. I also enjoyed staying in an apartment in Galway. The apartment was nice and spacious. And finally, I enjoyed staying in Castleblayney at a pretty church-view manor.
I enjoyed our trip to Ireland. I loved the sightseeing and sure learned a lot. I learned a lot of interesting facts about the history and the culture. The people were very kind and helpful.
