On July 22, CLBC CEO Seonag Macrae joined staff for the Provincial Assessment Centre (PAC)’s 8th Annual Alumni BBQ to help celebrate individuals who stayed at PAC and are now living back in their communities. Seonag also announced the launch of the refreshed PAC webpage on the CLBC website to those in attendance, who included individuals, family members, caregivers, PAC and CLBC staff, and other community professionals.
The page features a video tour of PAC, information about referrals and admissions, an overview of staff roles, and answers to frequently asked questions. The updated page creates awareness and familiarity of what PAC does for individuals who have been or may be referred. It is also a resource for family members of individuals who are admitted to PAC, and for professionals who refer people.
PAC is mandated to provide multi-disciplinary mental health services for referred individuals ages 14 and up with a developmental disability and a concurrent mental illness, or behaviour issue. PAC is a part of Community Living BC and is designated as a tertiary care mental health service under the Mental Health Act.
