Hello! My name is Hannah Toman and I am 24 years old. I live in Aldergrove, BC with my 2 sisters, 1 brother and my caregiver.
I was born in Squamish and my nationality is First Nations.
I got a part-time job at A&W approximately 6 years ago when I graduated from Aldergrove Community Secondary School.
I started off working once a week and now I have 4 shifts a week. I really like my job and the people I work with.
I attend a day program twice a week, called Explorations, it is in Murrayville. When I am at Explorations, I go to an Art class on Mondays.
I have a huge passion for art. My favorite art to draw is Anime and Manga. I have sold some of my art pieces at Langley’s Arts Alive Festival.
I am also very passionate about music. Quite often, you will find me listening to music on my ipod. I aspire to one day be a singer. When I am not working or singing, I enjoy playing online video games with my friends.
I meet with a self advocate group every week where we discuss different topics and ways to be independent and involved in our community.
The self advocate group has taught me that I can make my own decisions and chose how I want to live my life.
