Hi my name is Sheenagh, let me tell you about my dream trip. My late dad, when he passed, had a wish that the money he left me was for travel. On August 18, 2019 my mom and I went to the United Kingdom. I started planning my trip about 5 months in advance and researched what I wanted to see and do. My main goal was to do the Harry Potter tour in London and the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace and do the Edinburgh Castle tour. My mom’s job was to book all the places to stay.
We started off at our friend`s place, which was an old farming community in England.
Then we went to Scotland for about seven days. We stayed right below Edinburgh Castle at a hostel. We had three days to stay there then my mom and I went on a three day bus trip through the Highlands. We met people on the tour from London, Australia, Austria and Ireland. Then we went back to Edinburgh and had two more nights there.
Next was London. In London we were near Hyde Park. We went on a Harry Potter walking tour where they filmed the Harry Potter movies. We went to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard. We saw Kensington Palace which is the residence of the British Royal family.
People ask me what my favourite part was; I said that I don’t know because they are both different and beautiful countries in their own way. I fulfilled all my main goals!
