Province invests $3.1 million for new housing projects in Keremeos

bc govt logoSeniors and people with disabilities in Keremeos will soon have access to 24 new units of affordable rental housing.

Following a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) in April 2016, the British Columbia government has selected Lower Similkameen Community Services Society to receive $1.5 million in capital funding toward an eight-unit expansion at Mountain View Manor at 412 12th Ave.

Additionally, following the September 2016 announcement of a $500-million investment in affordable rental housing, the Province has selected Lower Similkameen Community Services Society to receive $1.6 million in capital funding toward a 16-unit housing project at 815 7th Ave.

BC Housing will work with the society to fully develop the plans for each project and ensure the proper municipal consultation is considered and confirmed before construction.
