Thank-you HOME Society

Hello, my name is Shannon Lebrun.

This is a story about how much I appreciate the support I get from

HOME Society https://homesociety.com/

HOME Society took me in December 2004 and they have been there when I needed them ever since.

They have stood by me when I was in the hospital and they have never let me down even on their weekends and days off.

Dave, Diane and Kate are there for me. They let me email them and they are there to talk to about how I feel if I need someone to talk to.

HOMES helps people in so many ways. I could not tell you how many lives they have saved.

HOMES is caring, kind and loves all the people they support.

HOMES means a lot to me because I was sexually abused by people in my family and when I shared my story with some workers they did not get uncomfortable talking about it, but instead they listened to me and let me know that I am loved.

I was kicked out of getting support from another agency because I was having a tough time.

My social worker didn’t know where I could go so she asked her boss who said HOME Society is a great place.

They have been so great to me and stood by me through the process of having a hard time.

HOMES doesn’t push you away, they stand by you.

HOMES has helped me to become more independent. They helped me get a job and start taking the bus.

I live with Jen and her husband and daughter. HOMES is by far the best way to get help when you need it.

If you are in a dark place they can make you feel better.

I would say if you need a place to stay or get support, check out HOMES.  They won’t let you down.

Thank-you HOMES for everything you’ve done for me.
