The Kamloops Self Advocates Newsletter November,2019 Edition

The Kamloops Self-Advocates is a

newsletter for people with diverse abilities

published by Krystian Shaw.

November Edition of KSA Newsletter 2019 contains in

This month’s theme

November’s KSA is about Peace, Love, Kindness and Compassion. There are many types of violence that go unnoticed for example there is physical abuse, verbal abuse and sexual abuse.

There is also war in other countries around the world. Remembrance Day is an important day to remember soldiers that died for us, but it is also important to speak out about other kinds of abuse that happen around us; violence toward women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities in society.
November is National Domestic Violence Awareness month & November 25th is International Day for the elimination of Violence against women.

A peaceful nation and world aren’t always about freedom from war, it can be freedom from all kinds of abuse as well.
Let’s spread peace, love, and kindness through simple acts. Something as small as a smile or saying hello allow us to connect.

You can also make a commitment to non-violence.
