This is a story about how COVID-19 has affected me in many ways

By Bronte Malli

I really miss doing a lot of things that I used to do before this all happened, (e.g. fun activities like dances, parties, hanging out with friends and family, etc).

At least I still get to do some fun things during this time, such as: Zumba, drama and music at the Farm Connections, friendly kitchen, music jeopardy and book club.

There are also some things that I’ve done outside of program (DCLS) that I enjoy, like getting pedicures either with friends, and being outdoors in the gorgeous weather, which is what we’ve been seeing a lot of lately.

Now I’m working on becoming more healthy and losing some weight. I’m trying to drink more water in a day than I used to, I have salads for lunch at program Monday through Thursday, it’s a different one every week, I just got back into the routine of going to the gym to work out regularly, and I weigh myself on a scale every Thursday.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m pretty much done with dealing with the spread of COVID-19, but I think things are going to start to improve as more and more people get vaccinated. I bet a lot of people are getting really tired of having to wear masks all the time, and with the weather getting warmer, my face gets pretty hot just by wearing them.

There are lots of aspects of COVID-19 that have affected me in so many ways, but, not all of them are negative things, I still got to do a lot of fun things with my time.
