Minister Qualtrough visited Saanich Neighbourhood Place, one of four community organizations receiving Government of Canada support to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities in Greater Victoria

Yesterday,the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Accessibility, toured Saanich Neighbourhood Place, where renovations that include a ramp, easy to-use door handles and automated door openers will ensure children and youth of all abilities can access the organization’s many programs and services.

Support of approximately $250,000 provided through the Government of Canada’s Enabling Accessibility Fund for accessibility improvements at Saanich Neighbourhood Place, City Light Church of Victoria, Mount St. Mary Hospital and the Victoria Event Centre is helping to make Greater Victoria more accessible to everyone.
